As we acquire new projects, we are looking for innovative,
hardworking individuals to join our team of professionals. Our business
requires Engineers and Designers who are not afraid to take the
initiative within a team-based environment and be at the forefront in
the establishment of integrated engineering design capability in the
region.
ABT wishes to engage experienced ENGINEERS who
- Possess a working knowledge of achieving basic engineering
deliverables and the application of standard design tools for the
development of engineering packages.
- Possess a working knowledge of Engineering Codes, Design
Standards and Guides.
- Are familiar with the standard deliverables and key work
processes in a project environment including the roles of other
disciplines in achieving targets.
- Experience in Project Management and field experience in a major
project would be an asset.
DESIGNERS must be able to
- Plan and execute designs from basic data supplied.
- Prepare drawings and/or construct detailed scale models showing
complete engineered systems, structures and plant arrangements.
- Generate 2-D drawings or 3-D CAD design models with minimal
guidance.
- Experience in AutoCAD or Microstation would be an asset.
The following positions are currently available.
Control Systems Engineer
- A first degree with a minimum of Second Class Honors in
Process/Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possess a working knowledge of achieving basic engineering
deliverables and the application of standard design tools for the
development of engineering packages.
- Possess a working knowledge of how Engineering Codes, Design
Standards and Guides are applied in Process Plant Design.
- Are familiar with the standard deliverable and key work
processes in a project environment including the roles of other
disciplines in achieving targets.
- Understanding of process controls and ability to produce Control
Systems conceptual design documentation.
- Experience in defining instrument specifications.
- Experience in DCS configuration and PLC programming.
Control Systems Designer
- Associate degree or diploma in Process/Chemical or Electrical
Engineering.
- Familiar with major industry codes and standards affecting
design drawings.
- Understands basic construction requirements, operations, and
maintenance of structures, equipment, and facilities relevant to
control systems.
- Understands instrument location design, installation details and
working knowledge of programs used to generate instrument index.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply the process design
conditions as shown on the P&Ids, line designation tables and other
related documents.
- Plan and execute designs from basic data supplied.
- Prepare drawings and/or constructs detailed scale models showing
complete engineered systems, structures and plant arrangements.
Mechanical Engineer
- A first degree with a minimum of Second Class Honors in
Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in specification and selection of pressure vessels
and rotating equipment.
- Familiar with standard contract requirements for equipment
purchase orders.
- Experience working with equipment vendors in a project
environment.
Electrical Engineer
- A first degree with a minimum of Second Class Honors in Electrical
Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in conceptual power system design for
electrical distribution systems.
- Power experience and the ability to interpret P&IDs and logic
narratives.
- Knowledge of Short Circuit and Voltage drop calculations.
Electrical Designer:
- Associate degree or Diploma in Electrical
Technology/Engineering.
- Working knowledge of materials used for construction.
- Working knowledge of electrical symbols and notes.
- Sound knowledge of physical design techniques.
- Sound knowledge of wiring design techniques.
- Understand basic programming/macro development.
- Understand basic lighting system design.
- Understand complex A/C power design.
