Gasoline Optimization Programme (GOP)

The Trinidad and Tobago state-owned oil company Petrotrin, is performing an upgrade at its Pointe-a-Pierre refinery. The objective of this project is to produce higher-grade international specification gasoline for export.

ABT, with its deep understanding of the local oil and gas industry, is undertaking the Offsites & Utilities scope of works, which includes engineering and procurement of the following:

• Water treatment plant
• Steam boilers with auxiliaries
• Cooling water tower
• Substations and electrical infrastructure
• Storage tanks with pumps
• Oil/ water separator
• Subsea loading line
• Interconnecting pipe and pipe racks
• Flare design and modeling
• Cross country pipeline

Being part of this project falls directly in line with ABT’s commitment to the environment. Successful
completion of the GOP means the production of cleaner and more environmentally friendly transportation fuels to regional and international markets.

ABT’s work on the project is also helping to ensure the growth and sustainability of the nation’s economy.
The GOP will maximise the productivity of the nationally-owned energy enterprise and place Petrotrin as one of the key suppliers of quality, environmentally-friendly gasoline in the region.
